HOW TO ORDER YOUR PET PLAQUE

At the moment if you contact us we will send you out an order form.

Repeat Order

If you have ordered a plaque from us before, and you want to order more plaques from the same photo, then there is no need to send us the photo again. Just fill in the Order Number from your previous plaque.

Your Pet's Photo's

Send us the photo of your pet that you want us to use to make your plaque. Please do not send more than ONE photo with your Order Form. You can use the Form to order more than one plaque from your photo, but if you want to order several plaques from several photos, then please use a SEPARATE Order Form for each photo, and send them to us in SEPARATE envelopes.

Your photo can be a print or a 35mm transparency or negative. Your photo will be returned to you with your plaque. You can also send us a picture in digital form - we can use most of the common PC file formats (contact us if you are not sure). Your picture should be in the highest possible quality - at least 300dpi. Please send it to us on a floppy disk or (preferably) CD - do not e-mail it!

You might prefer to send your order to us recorded delivery, so that you know your photo has arrived safely. As soon as we receive your order, we scan your photo into our computers. From that moment, if your photo is damaged or lost, we can print another one for you - even if you lose the photo after we return it to you!

Do not write or draw on the front of the photo, and remember that the better the quality of the photo that you send to us, then the better the quality of your plaque.

Special Instructions

We will enlarge (or reduce) the size of your pet's image to fit the size of the plaque that you order. We can also remove some or all of the background in your photo. Please give us clear instructions on how you would like us to process your picture for the plaque; for example:

• "Use my dog's head and shoulders only", or
• "Remove all the background from the photo", or
• "Keep in the grass but remove the buildings behind my dog".

Write your Special Instructions in the box provided on the Order Form.

Inscriptions

If you wish, we can include your pet's name or other short text on the plaque. Please write the text you want to use in the Inscription box provided on the Order Form. Please write clearly, in capital letters. (Normally we will not use all capital letters for your text on the plaque - if you want us to, then please make a note to that effect in the box.)

Also, tell us where you would like the inscription to be positioned; for example, "to the right of the picture" or "below the picture". The inscription can be as short or as long as you wish, but if you want a very long inscription we will have to reduce the size of your pet's picture to make room.

Plaques Required

You can choose the size of plaque that you want, and the kind of wood that you want us to make it from. Because we make the plaques from real wood, the colour and exact size of each plaque will be unique. But we will choose a piece of wood that is as close as possible to the size you have ordered, and your photo will be adjusted to fit onto the plaque.

You can also choose the type of wood you want us to use for your plaque. We always have four different woods available - oak, ash, elm and yew - and you can see illustrations of these at Types of wood. From time to time other special woods are available - check Special for details and up-to-date information.

If you want more than one plaque from the photo you've sent us, enter the details of each plaque. For example, if you require one medium-sized plaque in elm and another medium-sized plaque in oak, use the blank lines on the Order Form to enter size of plaque, type of wood and price.

If we are out of stock of your chosen special wood, we will contact you to let you know when we will be able to deliver your plaque, or to discuss an alternative.

We will send you a proof for approval either by email or post, so you can be sure that the plaque is to your liking. We will contact you if we have any queries about your order. As soon as your plaque is ready, we will send it to you by recorded delivery. If you order more than one plaque, each plaque will usually be sent separately, so do not be concerned if you order two or more plaques and only one arrives - the others will not be far behind!

Please feel free to contact us at any time about the progress of your order. If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your order within seven days, please contact us. You should also contact us if you do not receive your plaque(s) within 28 days of placing your order.

If for any reason you lose or damage the photo of your pet that you used for your plaque, please write to us. We keep digital copies of all photos we use, and we can print a replacement photo for you.

Your Details

We respect your privacy, and we will not pass your address or any other information to any other organisation or third party. We use your details only to send you your plaque and to contact you if we have any queries about your requirements for your plaque.

From time to time we have news about Pet Plaques that we would like to share with you - special offers, new products, pet shows where you can meet us, and so on. We put this information into our newsletter, and if you would like to receive this newsletter, by post or by e-mail, then please tick the appropriate box on the Order Form.
